more about my pets

by longtail @ Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009 - 13:06:43

Hi all Jack my cat has been sick all over one of my beds. Think he maybe eating things outside. Not very funny for my friend that was sleeping in the bed. Jack is a grate cat but will eat things he is not to have. When we first got him he was only 8 weeks only and my boyfriend was eating and he take the meat from the plate. It was very funny at the time as both of them was running around the room, The cat had the meat and he was running atfer him to that it back. All I said was he should not be eating that, only kitten food. Now he is 3 years old he still will eat outside things. I do feed him at dinner time but you cannot stop a cat from hunting outside can you. Billy the dog is ok.He is in today because it is raining and he is not very happy going out in the rain, Will not go out in the garden for a pee if it is raining, Will sit by the door till it stops. We also have 4 rabbits with us and my girl has 2 rats that live in her bed room. I DO NOT LIKE THEM. She cleans tham out as I will not go into her room now. I live all pets but not rats. I will have to go now all the best to all reading this, till next time.

Lumpy Leg

by NotBob @ Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009 - 19:43:45

Penny had to go to the vet yesterday evening. Her right elbow has swollen up like a balloon. The vet reckons it may just be a hair follicle that has become infected, so she's now on a course of antibiotics for the next week while we monitor it.

She doesn't seem to be in any great discomfort, but the golf ball sized lump on her leg doesn't look very nice. I'd noticed a bit of a patch there over the last couple of weeks, but I just put it down to one of those pressure spots that older dogs tend to get at their joints, particularly their elbows. But this one flared up in less than 24 hours since I last noticed it so she had a little trip to the "dogtor's" surgery.

I'm sure she'll be fine, and maybe the treatment for that lump might also cure the abscess on her jowl as well.

These things are sent to try us, but you have to remember that she's not a puppy any more. She'll be nine at the end of next month.

This piccie doesn't really show it as being too bad...

But this one shows why we felt it necessary to take her to the vet.

Is there an animal-talker?

Jenny and Lana- 18th September 2009

Last Tuesday, as every morning, our little dog Jenny went out for her wee-wee in the garden. She came back all stressed and in pain, we had to bring her to the vet.

It turned out that she suffers from arthritis, nothing big, for her it is! She suffers from food-loss now, we had to put her on diet, she needs to lose weight.

The problem is, that she now associates going out in the morning causes arthritis attacks. No way to make her go! It is what is called a wrong connection, I guess. She thinks, going into the garden in the morning causes arthritis-attacks!. I need to find an animal-talker now...
